Today we are getting together at Carol N's house to start cutting and tying the fleece that we purchased back in March, and turning it into blankets for Boy's Republic. This is one of our Outreach Projects and it's exciting to know that these blankets will be given to the boys at Christmas time. It may seem like a small thing, but to these boys who often have next to nothing that actually belongs to them, these warm blankets will mean a lot and hopefully help them to know that people do love and care about them.
We had hoped for lots of participation for this project, but only six ladies were able to come. But even with only six pair of hands, we got a lot done.

We worked for a few hours and then took a break for lunch. A quick run to Subway and we were ready to fill our tummy's . . .

By the end of the day, we had completely finished ten of the eighteen blankets we plan to make.
