Disneyland - 2015

Once again we are off to spend a day at the Happiest Place on Earth.  We earned our tickets by cheering for the runners at the Tinkerbell Half Marathon, and now it's our day to play.  This year Disneyland is celebrating it's 60th Birthday, so there are lots of extra decorations and special things to see and do . . .

We did some different things this time, including touring through the Boudin Bakery and getting a sample of their yummy bread . . .

And visiting the Ghiradelli Chocolate Shop . . .

We strolled through Cars Land and took in the scenery at . . .

We enjoyed a stroll down Buena Vista Street with Goofy . . .

And then ended our visit to California Adventure by seeing the Aladdin show before it goes away forever . . .

We had a great time in Disneyland, riding all our favorites and just enjoying the decorations and little extra touches for the 60th birthday celebration.  We ended the day with the Paint the Night Parade and Fireworks . . . totally awesome.  I took videos of the parade and the fireworks, but apparently they are longer than what is allowed to post here.  So you just have to take my word that they are spectacular!

As always, we had the best time!  Who doesn't have the best time at Disneyland?  Thank you, Walt Disney, for your dream, your vision, your imagination, your ingenuity, and your wonderful gift to the world.  See you next year!!!

Oak Glen & Riley's Farm

Fall is the perfect time of year to take a sojourn up to Oak Glen and enjoy the pretty colors and fun festivities that take place there.  Queen Barbara made all the arrangements and off we went.  Our first stop of the day was at . . .

After we finished our little shopping spree, we had a nice picnic lunch followed by . . . 

Yummy Apple Pie!  So Delish!

After lunch, we had lots of options of what to do next . . .

Finally, it was time to head a little further up the hill to Riley's Farms for some pumpkin picking, dinner and a performance of "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow"  . . .

We took our pumpkins and other treasures to the car, and then found our seats inside the Heritage Homestead for the main part of our adventure . . .

Back inside, we were treated to some pre-show entertainment while we ate the rest of our dinner . . . 

The music was fun and lively

We enjoyed the performance of "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow", and all the extra events that took place between acts, especially . . .
