We are back at Peppertree Park in Tustin for another wonderful Broadway-style production of a famous musical, this time it's
"Kiss Me Kate".

The story involves the production of a musical version of William Shakespeare's
"The Taming of the Shrew" and the conflict on and off-stage between divorced co-stars Fred Graham and Lilli Vanessi. Lilli is about to be remarried, which causes lots of back-stage romantic misunderstandings between her and Fred. A second romance develops between two young actors in the play, Lois Lane and her gambler boyfriend, Bill Calhoun More backstage issues develop when two lunkheaded mobsters arrive to deal with Bill's gambling debts.
The show was well acted with just enough comedy, and the music was good and filled with familiar songs. Of course the best part . . . spending a nice warm summer evening outside in the park with great friends.
